A Chance Encounter That Sparked a Journey
Nadir, a successful attorney in São Paulo, initially joined her husband at a Leadership Circle retreat for rest and relaxation. However, something unexpected happened. As she casually sat in on one of the meetings, she became captivated by the engaging discussions on purpose, faith, and leadership. The very next day, she skipped her plans to relax by the pool and joined the sessions fully.
“I’ve been around Campus Crusade for years,” Nadir confessed, “but this is the first time I felt like faith was being applied to real-world leadership challenges.”
A Fresh Perspective
For years, Nadir had seen faith as something personal and separate from her professional life. At the retreat, however, she was introduced to the idea that work, family, and ministry are interconnected—a recurring theme in Cities Project Global’s teachings. She learned that, as Colossians 3:23 reminds us, “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord.”
